9. Fainting, collapsing.
When a dog falls to the ground for no apparent reason–without getting back up–it means she is experiencing a sudden loss of strength. If this causes her to lose consciousness, it’s called fainting.
If your dog has collapsed, take him to the vet immediately! Whether he recovers quickly or not, these situations are an emergency. Fainting or collapsing can be caused by a serious condition, and all of them require an immediate visit to your veterinarian.
They include a potential problem with the nervous system (brain, spinal cord or nerves), the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles), the circulatory system (heart, blood vessels, blood), or the respiratory system (mouth, nose, throat, lungs).
