14. Peeling Potatoes with Water

If you’re using a peeler to peel potatoes, try this cool trick instead.

  1. Fill up a pot with water and set it to boil.
  2. Once the water is boiling, wash your potatoes (make sure you cut the line around the center of each one) and place them in the pot.
  3. Make sure the water covers all the potatoes, then cover the pot with a lid.
  4. Let the spuds simmer for about 15 minutes under the lid.
  5. Remove the potatoes from the pot, transferring them to a container of cold water to cool.

Once cooled down, the peel should just slide off with ease.
