14. Peeling Potatoes with Water
If you’re using a peeler to peel potatoes, try this cool trick instead.
- Fill up a pot with water and set it to boil.
- Once the water is boiling, wash your potatoes (make sure you cut the line around the center of each one) and place them in the pot.
- Make sure the water covers all the potatoes, then cover the pot with a lid.
- Let the spuds simmer for about 15 minutes under the lid.
- Remove the potatoes from the pot, transferring them to a container of cold water to cool.
Once cooled down, the peel should just slide off with ease.
